Board-first interactive browser of every verified connection on Microchip dsPIC / PIC32A development boards — the family-agnostic successor to the DIM Connection Viewer . Select the board you actually have, then (if it takes one) the DIM/PIM module, and see every signal → MCU pin/port the hardware uses, grouped by function.

How it works

  1. Pick a board (grouped by family: Motor Control, Curiosity Nano, Standalone, Explorer/PIM).
  2. Pick a module when the board has a slot — DIMs for MCS baseboards, or a PIM for MCLV-2. Boards with the chip soldered on (Curiosity Nano, LVMC, MCSK, Portable Power Tool) show their on-board connections directly and the module selector is disabled.
  3. Connections are grouped by function (PWM, Analog, QEI, Hall, Fault, LEDs, Buttons, Comm, Debug, Power, …) in a compact multi-column layout, and you can search by signal, MCU pin or function.

Each card shows the physical signal (e.g. Ia, Ib, V_BUS, pot), its MCU pin or port, and the peripheral function. A 🕐 Clock readout reports the board’s oscillator (e.g. 8 MHz external on OSCI/CLKI, or internal FRC).

Trust model — why you can rely on it

  • Verified sources only. Every connection traces to a primary source: a DIM Info Sheet, a board User Guide + schematic, or a regression-tested MCHP Blockset template’s pin map. Unverified routings are never shown.
  • No invented pairings. The page only displays board+module combinations that are explicitly verified; it never derives a mapping itself.
  • Template-derived views are labelled. Boards whose pins come from an MCHP template show a banner: those are the pins the template uses, not a complete board pinout — a signal absent there means “not used by this template”, never “not connected”.
  • dsPIC and PIC32A only.

Relationship to the DIM viewer

The MCS Motor-Control DIM data (MCLV-48V-300W / MCHV-230VAC-1.5kW × 10 DIM cards) is identical to the DIM Connection Viewer — this page adds Curiosity Nano, standalone dev boards, MCLV-2 + PIM, and the Portable Power Tool reference design alongside it.
